The header row uses the column names Gatherlist recognises: Name, Plus, Note.

Add your guests
One guest per row. Plus is the number of people they bring, so a couple is one name with Plus 1.
Print it or import it
Print the PDF for the door, or import the spreadsheet into Gatherlist and check guests in on your phone.
What makes a good guest list
Four habits from people who run doors every weekend.
One row per guest, not per person. Plus-ones share their guest’s row. Full names. The door searches by surname when the queue is long. A cut-off time. After it, nobody new goes on the list. A note the door can act on. VIP, pays at the door, table number.
When paper stops working

Questions about guest lists
How do I make a guest list in Excel?
Download the .xlsx file, keep the header row and add one guest per row. Put the number of people a guest brings in the Plus column, and anything the door needs to know in the Note column.
What should a guest list include?
At least the guest’s full name and how many people they bring. A note column helps with table numbers, VIPs or guests who pay at the door. In Gatherlist, who added each guest is recorded for you.
Can I import the template into Gatherlist?
Yes. Gatherlist reads the Excel and CSV files as they are, flags duplicates before anything is saved, and puts every guest on the list you choose.
